Materials:
- Piping bag
- Spatula or spoon
- Frosting
- Tall drinking glass
- Piping bag tip
- Scissors
How to: use a piping bag with a tip
First, put the piping bag in the glass, and stretch the opening of the bag over the outside of the glass. At this point, put the piping tip into the point of the bag. Take a scoop of the frosting with your spoon or spatula and put it deep into the piping bag, and use the side of the cup to scrape all of the frosting into the bag.
Once the bag is filled, unfold it from around the cup and twist the opening so that the frosting is as pushed down as it can be. Then, snip off a small bit of the tip of the bag with your scissors so that the plastic tip pokes through.
At first, cut a very small hole! You can always make it bigger if the frosting tip still doesn’t fit through. However, you cannot make it smaller. Once you have the appropriate sized hole, twist the top of the bag more so that frosting moves down (and out) the bag.Now you are ready to frost what you baked!
If you do not have a piping bag, use the same process as above, but just use a plastic sandwich bag instead. All you have to do is cut a little hole in the corner, and you’re good to go.
